Authentication & Security 2

NewsBlur feeds API declares 2 security schemes for authenticating requests. An API key is passed in the cookie as newsblur_sessionid (cookieAuth). It accepts HTTP bearer tokens (oauth2Bearer). By default, every request must be authenticated.

  • cookieAuth — Session cookie set by POST /api/login.
  • oauth2Bearer — OAuth 2.0 access token passed as a Bearer token in the Authorization header. Client credentials are issued by NewsBlur (contact samuel@newsblur.com).
